Holiday Blind Draw results

Thank you to all the dart shooters you played in the first GVDA Holiday blind draw - great turn out!

We had one winner in the Mystery Out - Robert Stewart took out 92 to win $95. The night ended with $132 in the pot, which will roll over to the sign-up tournament on 1/3/17.

We paid top 4 and here are the standings:

December 20th at Sunset Lanes. Blind draw, Rochester format; DOUBLE elimination (single leg of 501 in losers bracket). THIS IS OPEN TO ALL DART PLAYERS!!! $5 for GVDA members in good standing, $10 for non-GVDA members. 100% payout PLUS $200 has been added in compliments of the GVDA and Sunset Lanes. Sign-up starts at 7 pm with play beginning at 7:30 pm

We will also be holding a mystery out contest. $2 per attempt to take out a randomly chosen number between 61 and 170. Winner gets 50% of the pot. We also have a sponsor for this event so the pot starts at $100 and increases with every attempt!!

2017 GVDA Calendar now available

Winter 2017 Sign up and Annual General Meeting of the GVDA is on January 3rd 2017 at Sunset Lanes. We will hold the traditional $5 members' blind draw tournament opening at 7:00pm for tournament sign up with announcements starting at 7:30pm prior to the tournament start.

Individual membership dues for the year will once again be just $30. Tavern fees (per team per season) will also remain at $60 for Winter & Fall seasons and $20 for the shorter Summer season.

In an effort to reduce darts burn-out we are sticking to the 14 weeks to cover regular season plus playoffs that we are operating for the current season. In future years this should mean more time between seasons during which we may hold additional tournaments or events.

We are not all DeBruynes or Dwyers and are happy to announce that there will be no GVDA play scheduled for Valentine's night 2017, or for July 4th and Halloween which also fall on Tuesdays next year. We still feel there is a comfortable feel to the schedule in spite of this.
