HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Thank you to all the shooters who came out to the 2nd annual Holiday Steel Tip Blind Draw last night!

We had 24 shooters (12 teams). We went best of 3 per match in the winners and losers bracket. Here are the results;

1st place:  Michael "Data" Nguyen and Steve Zollweg
2nd place:  Chris Simpson and Pat Mangan
3rd place:  Nick Maquire and Brandon Lambert
4th place:  Fred James and Rick Gourley

A special note:  Brandon Lambert won the Mystery Out TWICE!!

2nd annual tournament is tomorrow

Our 2nd Annual Holiday tournament is happening tomorrow Tournament will be held at Sunset Lanes. Sign ups at 7:00pm and start time 7:30pm . Tournament is open to all Dart players!!!! . Blind Draw . Rochester format , Double elimination (single leg 501 in loser bracket). We will be using Dart connect . $5 for GVDA members in good standing, $10 for non-GVDA members. 100% payout PLUS $200 has been added in compliments of the GVDA and Sunset Lanes. 1st place will also get a $20.00 gift certificate to Dead Center Darts . What better way to enjoy the Holidays with a little extra cash in the pocket. We will also be holding a mystery out contest. $2 per attempt to take out a randomly chosen number between 81 and 170. Winner gets 50% of the pot. The pot starts at $100 and increases with every attempt!! We will also be running 50/50 raffles

2017 Fall Season Finals

Next season will be 40 years since the inaugural Genesee Valley Darts Association season! Look for some special events in the next year to celebrate the oldest dart league in Western New York - founded in November 1977 to promote friendly competition, social gatherings and generally good old arrows down at the local. Sign up is on January 9th from 7pm at Sunset Lanes on Chili Ave.

GVDA Board nominations

It's that time of year again. The GVDA Board needs your help! We are seeking nominations for Board members. Have ideas for improving the league? Want to make a difference in helping the league succeed? Become a Board member! The term is 2 years in length! Can't commit to monthly meetings? Become a volunteer member! Nominations are due by 12/31 and forms are available on the GVDA website under the resources tab. Want to see what a meeting is all about? Join us this Thursday 11/16 at 7 PM at McGinnity's.

Fall Mid Season Results

Congratulations to Johnny Lee and Fred James on their win in last night's mid season. They beat Chris Simpson and Brian Hastings in a VERY hard fought final match that saw Brian and Chris coming out of the loser's bracket to force all 6 legs! Third place went to Ed Day and Rich Bazer while 4th went to Reggie Rollo and Craig Foster. Congratulations to all and thanks to all the players that came out.

Fall mid-season Tournament

Mid-season is this week, Tuesday night at Sunset Lanes . $5.oo entry.  Pay out is 100% plus $240.  7:00pm sign ups and 7:30pm  start time. You can pre-register on Dart Connect. We will be doing a  50/50 raffle. Tournament is open to all members in good standing.  sunsetlanesbowling

One more shot to qualify for the ADO 501 All Star Regional

We had 2 people for the local ADO qualifier today...I know there were other events going on today so the GVDA board is willing to run a qualifier on Sunday the 29th if we have a enough people commit to play. Sunset Lanes..all 501. FREE to GVDA players in good standing

This qualifier is for a spot in the Regional to be held on 11/4 in Syracuse. It is for the 501 East-West All Star's - National Final is in Vegas at the end of January 2018.

Need to know by Friday thw 27th if you will be attending.
