Summer Season Signups May 20

Summer season Signups are this coming Tuesday!
When: Tuesday May 20, 7pm.

Who: you! Come out and play.

Summer is a great time to play. We usually have two divisions made up of a variety of teams and players. It's a blast! Check out the different competition and relaxed attitude.

Upcoming ADo qualifier

The GVDA will be hosting a local qualifier for entry to the National Qualifier for the ADO All-Stars/501 Championship. The qualifier will be held on Sunday April 13th at Sunset Lanes. 11:00 a.m. sign-up wih play to start between 11:30 and 11:45 a.m. The winners move onto the Regional Event, time and date TBD. REgional winners travel to the National Final to be held in CT on August 8th with the USA Classic $20,000 event to follow that weekend.

The qualifier will be all 501, round robin format (may be modified depending on participation).

Sunset Lanes and the GVDA are each donating one entry fee to the Regioanl Qualifier. At least two entries will be awarded. Additional entries to be added for every six (6) PAID entries.

Entry fee:
Free for GVDA members
$20 for non-GVDA members
* Players may participate as a GVDA member OR a paid entry but NOT both

Following conclusion of play entries to the Regional Qualifier will awarded as follows:

The GVDA sponsored entry will go to the top finishing GVDA member
One entry will go to the top finishing paid player (equivalent of at least 6 paid entries required)
The Sunset sponsored entry will go to the top remaining overall player
Additional entries will be awarded if the number of paid entries warrants

Winmau World Masters Qualifier

First ADO qualifier is in the books. Thanks to all who came out! Winner, by a very slim margin, is Robert Stewart. Dale LaFrance came in second and Dan Houser third. Robert will be heading to the Regional to be held March 9th at the PACC in Syracuse. Good shooting to all today!

Next ADO qualifier is for the East-West All Star Challenge to be held on the Sunday of the Rochester Open..4/13. Details to follow. We are looking to send 3 people onto the Regional for this one!

Barbados Darts Festival - Nov. 1-11, 2014

Hello all, we've been asked to share info about this big annual tournament in Barbados. It is supposed to be a great time! Let us know if you are headed down, we like to know what everyone is up to.

With great sadness we learn of the passing of a long standing member of the Rochester Darts community. We send our collective condolences to the Georgetti family and to all Dom's friends.

ADO Winmau Masters Qualifier 2/22/14

This is a GVDA members only qualifier for a spot in the Regional to be tentatively held the second weekend in March In Syracuse. The National Final is in Charlotte, NC on April 11th.

This qualifier is FREE for any GVDA member in good standing that is interested in ADO. It is all 501 and the actual round robin format will be determined by how many participants we have. ...

Due to the continued state of emergency Winter season sign-up and tournament have been postponed until next week - 1/14.

IF YOUR TEAM PLANS TO SIGN UP FOR THE WINTER SEASON PLEASE CONTACT THE GVDA VIA THE EMAIL LINK ON THE CONTACT INFO TAB ON THE WEBSITE (use the general/membership topic). This will assist us with schedule setup.

Physical roster sheets can be turned in at sign-up on 1/14 or they can be sent via email or regular mail. PLEASE NOTE: All roster sheets and dues must be received on or before 1/14.

Winter Season Reminder

What: Winter Season Signup and Tournament

When: 7pm Tuesday January 7th

Reminder!!! Team registrations and tournament entries start at 7pm.

• Tournament will be $5 entry and is open to GVDA members whose dues are paid on the night.
• Payout and tournament format will depend upon number of entries. $240 + 100% is guaranteed.
• Tournament registration closes at 7:40; play should start at about 7:45. We can take team registrations as long as we are there. 

Please fill out as much info as you can for each team member on the registration form; we have encountered many out–of–date phone numbers and email addresses. You can download a copy of the form here to prepare it in advance.

 If you are interested in steel tip darts at all, come down and see us all there any time 7-11pm.

Annual Meeting January 7th

January signup is also our annual membership meeting.

• The largest item is Board elections.
• Volunteers or write-ins are welcome - we definitely need more help!
• We will cover the picnic/replacement survey results.
• In 2014 we are going to do a thorough review of the rulebook.
• Let us know what you'd like us to look at or any suggestions for changes.
